Our trip will start by arrival at Kemer marina. At Kemer marina, you'll be being awaited by a wooden yacht, which will guide you to Phaselis, passing through the forest of pine trees and the Taurus Mountains. This coast is probably the most charming coast of the Turkish Riviera. You will have the chance to swim in clear-blue water and dive with snorkels during the trip to Olympos. You will have your lunch at the boat at Olympos bay. The trip will continue through the three-island location. Aspendos Theatre - Aspendos is known for his best-preserved theater of antiquity with seating for 15.000. Still used today, the theater's galleries, stage decorations and acoustics all testify to the architects success. Nearby stand the remains of a basilica, agora and one of the largest aqueducts in Anatolia. Aspendus was a major port city in the Roman period with the navigable river of Koprucay. Visitors usually only see the theater on the hillside, however the aqueduct is also recommended. According to ancient tradition the city was founded by Mopsus in the 13C BC. In the 6C BC the Lydian King Croesus took Aspendus. After Cyruss victory over Croesus in the same century the city became Persian. In the 5C BC Aspendus minted its own silver coins. Alexander the Great took over from the Persians in the 4C BC. In the Roman period Aspendus entered into good relations with Rome. After the tour if you would like to do some cheap shopping just tell your guide and they will happily arrange this for you. PERGE: According to the geographer Strabon, Perge has been founded by Akhas who came down here after the Trojan wars. Perge was first mentioned in 334 BC when Alexander the Great passed through here. In the following years, Perge went under the control of Pergamon when the Kingdom of Pergamon became a part of the Roman city. Especially in the first and the second centuries BC, Perge became one of the richest towns in Pamphylia. Therefore it is not a surprising that St. Paul started his campaign in Anatolia from Perge in 46 AD. The people of Perge loved and respected their Artemis to such an extent that Christianity had to wait for another 400 years to enter here. In the Byzantine period, Perge was the seat of the bishop. Even though Arabs raided Perge in the 7th century AD, when Seljuk Turks settled the area, records show the existence of an older race living here.
After the tour, we depart for Aspendos. Lunch break on the way.

ASPENDOS: The eastern land of Antalya was called Pamphylia in ancient times. The Toros Daglari (Taurus Mountains) forms a beautiful back drop to the fertile coast, rich with fields of cotton and vegetables. Aspendos (Belkis) lies 47 km east of Antalya in the Pamphylian plain. In 486 BC, Greeks and Persians had a great battle here (Greeks won but they didn't stay for long). During the reign of he Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius (161-80 AD) Aspendos got its theatre, which is the best preserved of all. It was built by Romans and maintained by Byzantines and Seljuks. The ruins of the ancient city are extensive and include a stadium, an agora, and a basilica. Overnight in Antalya.

Day 4 - Antalya - Traditional Turkish Night
(All meals, alcohol and soft drinks included)
The day is yours. With over 8333 kilometers of coastline and four seas, Turkey is a treasure chest of coves, inlets, bays and beaches from which yachtsmen can choose a different and always private anchorage each night.

The sailing paradise of Turkey is home to the Blue Cruise. This idyllic cruise means sailing with the winds, into coves and over the seas and becoming one with nature. It is also an experience of the history of man from the perspective of the sea rather than from the land, a journey which carries you to the private beach of Cleopatra, the eternal fires of Mt. Olympos and the myriad archaeological remains of ancient civilizations. For lovers of the active life, sailing in the clear waters provides great opportunities for swimming, fishing, skiing, surfing and diving.

Sailing in Turkey also allows you to experience a truly enriching cultural exchange with the hospitable and gracious people of the coastal villages and towns. The tempered winds which generally blow from the west and northwest make the long summers ideal for yachting, and seem to encourage an appreciation of nature. From some of the turquoise coast's unspoiled and sheltered bays you can see mountain peaks rising to almost 3000 meters above sea level.

Fortunately, Turkey's modern facilities and comfort have not overshadowed her ancient hospitality and slower pace of life. The pleasure of yachting in Turkey will tempt you back again and again, to explore yet another stretch of coast and to relive the luxurious ease of life on the sea.

WHAT IS A TURKISH 'GULET'?
A gulet is a traditional handmade wooden boat equipped with masts. The most common gulets have 4 to 10 double/triple cabins and so accomodate 8 to 16/20passengers. Unlike cruises on large ocean liners, on a gulet you can explore the secluded and often deserted bays, coves and islands of the spectacular Turkish coastline. You willsee a hidden Turkey, beautiful beyond belief, and most of it completely unseen by the average tourist! During the day there are plenty of chances to swim and snorkel in the clearblue waters of the Mediterranean or explore the natural and historical sites along the way. Have a sunbath on the sundecks or read a book in the shadow of the aft deck on the comfortablecushioned seating.
Features of a gulet include an interior salon/bar area and a fully equipped galley. All cabins have en-suite
There are freezers to keep drinks cold, and a CD/cassette player, snorkels and masks, fishing lines and some board games. The gulets come with facilities for outdoor and indoor dining. Also a dinghy with outboard, a ship-to-shore radio,mobile telephone and life jackets are on board. All the boats are government approved with fully qualified captains. No experience of boats is required. All you need to do is relax!

WHAT IS THE BLUE VOYAGE?
The Blue Voyage is the surest way to get rid of all of your blues, but that is not really how the name was coined... Originated in Bodrum in the late 1950's by groups of writers, painters, and others interested in natural beauty and historical sites, the Blue Voyage started in the Gulf of Gökova and later extended to include the more distant southern shores of Turkey.

WHAT IS A CREWED YACHT CHARTER?
A crewed yacht charter is the hire of a complete yacht, with captain and crew, for a specific period of time (usually one or more weeks). The route of the cruise is subject to agreement between the contracting parties,as are the ports of embarkation and disembarkation. Commercial activity also increased during this same period.

The intellectual reputation of Bordeaux was made by Montaigne and Montesquieu, who were born nearby and who were both magistrates in the city. In the 18th century Bordeaux began exporting wine to England and the relationship between these regions improved. The Third Republic was established in Bordeaux in the National Assembly in 1871. Bordeaux was the temporary seat of The French Goverment during both World Wars.

Bordeaux

Bordeaux

Bordeaux

Bordeaux

Nice Travel

France is the most visited country in the world. It has everything that you could ever want to see on your holidays: a great city like Paris, good beaches, more monuments than any other country, lovely nature, incredible mountain scenery; need I go on? France is also a very pleasant place to stay. It has good food, great wines and people enjoy their lives. And the best thing is, maybe apart from Paris, living in France does not have to be expensive. The North of France consists of the flatlands around the town of Lille and the English Channel. This area will remind visitors in many ways of Belgium and the Netherlands. The Grand' Place in Lille for example is a lot like the one in Brussels.

Paris, the city of light and its surroundings are some of the most visited areas. Paris is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cities on the planet. You can find many

 The West of France is facing towards the Atlantic Coast. In the north Normandy & Brittany have rolling hills, sandy beaches and quiet little harbour towns. Normandy & Brittany have a more rugged coast and many neolithic sites. It has quite a distinct atmosphere from the rest of the country; you can still sense the Celtic origin of the region in its inhabitants.

The eastern part of France consists of the Alsace, Lorraine, Franche Comté and Burgundy regions. The landscape has rolling hills and many beautiful cities, such as Metz, Strasbourg, Nancy and Dijon. This region produces many famous wines, including magnificent pinot noirs and chardonnays valued the world over, as well as the famous "Yellow wine" from the Jura mountain vineyard.

The Centre of France is in many ways the most quietest part of France. But the great treasure of this region is the Loire valley , with many great castles and beautiful towns. Chartres with its famous cathedral and Tours rates among the most beautiful French cities.

The Alps are great for skiing in winter and hiking in summer. Albertville, Grenoble and Chamonix have all hosted the Olympic games. But the Alps also have nice towns to visit, such as Chambéry, Annecy or Grenoble .

The South with its lovely nature, good food, Roman ruins and of course the Riviera which draws a lot of visitors every year. Towns like Orange, and Arles but also big cities like Marseille and Toulon are must sees. The Provence is dotted with pleasant small villages. In the South west of France the Dordogne is one of the most quintessential French regions. The valley is so pretty, the towns are so quaint and the food is so good, that it is hard to believe that the people who live here go somewhere else for their holidays. The Languedoc has its own language and culture. In the south of the Languedoc you find the Pyrenees, a great mountain range separating France from Spain, where you can hike and ski. The towns of Toulouse and Montpellier are nice and the medieval town of Carcassone is a top destination.

If you wish to discover France by car, we suggest you visit Rhino

Paris Travel

Paris is the capital city of France and is located in the Île-de-France region, on the Seine river. It has an estimated population of 2,153,600 inhabitants. The Paris region is the centre of France economic activity. The main offices of important organizations such as: UNESCO, NATO, the OECD and the ICC are also located in Paris. It is not only an economic centre, but also a city of learning and culture. The fashion of Paris is well known around the world, with many famous fashion designers hosting their events in this city.

From the first to fifth century, Paris was called Lutetia but after this period it adopted its current name. Paris is sometimes called 'The City of Light' because of its cultural lifestyle and intellectual prestige, and also for its beautiful appearance. Paris with its seductive atmosphere is one of the most wonderful cities in the world, a metropolis that satisfies every tourist's expectations.

Paris territory was firstly inhabited by a sub-tribe of celtic Senones called the Parisii, who settled in the area near the Seine River from around 250 B.C. In 1190 a wall for enclosing Paris, having the Louvre as its western fortress. During the late 17th and the 18th century, Paris acquired further glory as the scene of many of France's greatest cultural achievements: the plays of Molière, Racine, and Corneille; the music of Lully, Rameau, and Gluck; the paintings of Watteau, Fragonard, and Boucher; and the salons where many of the philisophers of the Enlightenment gathered.

At the beginning of 1968, Paris was the scene of serious disorders, such as a student strike. In 1971 Paris's famous central market was dismantled, where now the new Paris metro hub is located. In 1977, the Georges Pompidou National Center for Art and Culture was constructed which also includes the National Museum of Modern Art. In 1992 Eurodisney was built in the Parisian suburbs, and the Louvre was renovated as well.

Modern Paris is the result of many remodeling and regulating advances. In the middle of 19th century, new urbanisation plans were put in place, new wide roads, neo classical stone buildings, and no more narrow streets. Part of this Paris is what we see today. Higher buildings have also been constructed, but now but there are laws that are trying to preserve the historic city, making the construction of modern buildings within the city limits difficult.

Paris, France

Paris, France

Avignon Travel Guide

Avignon Travel Guide:
Avignon is also called the second Rome because of the arrival of the Popes in the 14th Century during the Babylonian captivity. It was also the residence of several antipopes from 1378 to 1408. After a plebiscite it was incorporated to France into 1791. Avignon is a city full of history, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Avignon is the capital of the Vaucluse département, located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, with a population of approximately 85,935 people. The name of this city comes from the Celts, who called the area The Avenio which means the Town of Violent Winds.

The era of the Popes, from 1376 to 1409, is the most important and significant in Avignon's history, seven Popes took Avignon as their official residence, they were:

* Pope Clement V
* Pope John XXII
* Pope Benedict XII
* Pope Clement VI
* Pope Innocent VI
* Pope Urban V
* Pope Gregory XI

During this period the city's population also increased to approximately 40,000 inhabitants, many of whom suffered from the consequences of the plage, and the population diminished to 15,000. The Papacy period was also known as the Babylonian Captivity of exile, in reference to the Israelites' enslavement in biblical times. Before this period Avignon was not a very interesting town, but during this period of residence it became one of the most beautiful French cities. The Pope's Palace was built around this time,, an imposing fortress made up of tower. Other examples are the old churches of St. Didier, St. Peter and St. Agricola, all of which were built or restored by Popes, cardinals and other dignitaries. The papal return to Rome prompted the Great Schism, during which the antipopes Clement VII and Benedict XIII continued to reside in Avignon.

After this period Avignon continued to be ruled by legates as papal territory but Avignon was finally incorporated into France after the French Revolution. Then, Avignon was the commercial capital of France, because of the trail transport, the silk and madder root trade and because it was the main provider of fresh market products in France. After World War Two this city began to grow in economic and cultural terms. The Theatre Festival was created and Avignon was elected a European City of Culture in the year 2000.
<img width='1' height='1' part of the Carian Empire. According to the famous historian Herodotus, when the Carians settled in Mugla region, they also took over the town of Physkos. After 300 B.C., the Carian civilization lost its power and the area was ruled by different civilizations such as the Egyptians, Asstrians, Ionians and Dorians. In 138 B.C., Attalos III, the King of Bergama, made Physkos controlled from Rhodes by Roman generals.
In 1425, Ottomans conquered the area and built a castle in the city in 1521 AD. The Ottoman Empire Kanuni Sultan Suleyman changed the name of the city into Mimaris which eventually became Marmaris

NAVIGATION OF MARMARIS

Located in the southwest Turkey, as a district of Muğla Province, Marmaris is situated where the the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea join together.
